KLSD doing Kassa

So we tried another west african rhythm called: Kassa!
This rhythm is sooo energetic and fun, we decided to perform this at our next coming performance.

The rhythm above will be better if it was accompanied by a dunun player. Unfortunately only our member Azmeer has a dunun set but he couldn't make it to the practice session. A surdo player will do great as well, but everyone was tempted to learn the djembe part. There were many others who came to practice, in the video are only 5 of them which is (from left) Sein, Adi, Bonai, Zufar & Anas.

Don't worry if you missed out our practice session. Drop by any other Tuesday at 8.30PM and we will be there! Many interesting djembe stuffs to learn and share.

KLSD @ Space U8

Yes, so we were at Space U8, Bukit Jelutong as mentioned in the picture above.
They were promoting their weekly flea market. The mall is still very new, not much found there but we bet the place will turn into a totally awesome place very soon!

So the boys went back to the streets with drums and fire. Sadly, no pictures/videos for those who missed.

Practice Session

Hye guys!

To all djembe lovers out there, we would like to announce that we will have a weekly practice session as below:

Day: Every Tuesday
Time: 8.30 PM - 10.30 PM
Venue: Drum Simfoni Studio, Cheras.

Every week we will be focusing on different instruments or style of playing. Check out our facebook page for more info.
Entrance is by donation. Note that we have to rent the studio for this purpose, so anyone who is willing to chip in a bit is really appreciated. Free entrance for GenKo members. What is GenKo? Soon to be announced.
