Shah Alam Drum Circle

Everyone is invited to join Shah Alam Drum Circle which will be held twice a month starting March 2012 (1st & 3rd Sunday) at Laman Budaya, Shah Alam. The drum circle session is organized by Drum Simfoni along with MBSA and KL Street Drummers. The uniqueness of a drum circle is that anyone can join without prior music knowledge or skills. It's a fun and recreational activity. While people get to create 'in the moment' music, they also get a chance to be a part of the community!

Drum Circle with Todd Tariq Snare

Todd Tariq Snare is an awesome international drummer. He was on his tour and we managed to get him for a drum circle session. It was great y'all!!! Please add him on facebook, he will be releasing his book really soon!

KLSD @ Keretapi Sarong

Haven't you heard of Keretapi Sarong?? IT was an awesome semi-flashmob event organized by Random Alphabets.

A 500 people of all kinds joined the event on 25 Feb 2012. The event started at KL Sentral and the fun went all the way to KLCC. the best part is, KLSD was part of the exciting, entertaining event!! The event was super fun!!!

Once more we were invited to Space U8, this time for Avon's new branch launch. This event took place on 12 Feb 2012. Avon ambassadors and celebrities attended as well. Cool~

KL Street Jam - 11 February 2012

Thanks to God for making Kuala Lumpur a very nice place to share the fun with anyone!

As usual, we went down to Bukit Bintang to do a regular street jamming session. It was quite dark because the lights were out (we have no idea why). When we arrived at 10PM, it was raining heavily. Since we were all very excited to drum and dance, we decided to wait in the car till the rain stops. It was like an hour before we step out of the car and start unpacking our drums. There was a police booth at our spot (which we have no idea why it was there as well), but the police didn't mind us making some noise there and having fun with the crowd.

Many people joined us drumming and a lot more went dancing at the middle. This time, more women were dancing than men!

Happy February

Today we did a weekly practice session. It was supposed to be yesterday but we had other things to do so we decided to postpose it to today. Nothing much to share, we practiced a rhythm called 'Kassa'. We are trying to put in as much energy as we can into this rhythm and make it very entertaining for all.
